Viction at ConViction 2025
Viction made waves at Conviction 2025, attracting over 20,000 attendees eager to learn about its innovative zero gas fee and people-centric Layer-1 (L1) blockchain ecosystem. Held at Thisky Hall in Thu Duc City on August 9–10, the event underscored Viction’s commitment to making blockchain technology more accessible and user-friendly.
The company’s engaging presence included an interactive booth styled as a “city of ecosystem,” offering activities such as non-fungible token (NFT) minting via social login, cultural collectibles, and networking spaces. This immersive experience drew significant interest from government officials, including Trần Thị Diệu Thúy, Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee, and others from the city’s science and digital transformation departments.
Keynote Insights from Marcus
Viction’s Head of Ecosystem, Marcus, delivered a compelling keynote detailing the platform’s evolution from its origins as TomoChain to its current status as a global Layer-1 blockchain. He emphasized the importance of building on a robust, widely distributed foundation, which has been pivotal in Viction’s development.
“Our best experiences come from building seamlessly on a strong foundation with a battle-tested, widely distributed, and globally available Layer-1. We rebuilt it with purpose, and from that vision came Viction: a name born from the fusion of ‘Victory’ and ‘Vision’, with ‘viction’ embedded in ‘conviction’. Subtly, it starts with a ‘V’ and ends with an ‘N’ which is a nod to its Vietnamese roots and the builders who shaped it. We build with conviction, ignoring the noise and committing to the path.” – Marcus, Head of Ecosystem, Viction
Viction’s Blockchain Innovations
The presentation highlighted several key innovations:
- Viction City, a digital community boasting over 4 million users.
- Zero gas fee transactions for various activities, including sending, swapping, and cross-border stablecoin transfers.
- Ranked 11th among L1 blockchains by daily active users and 14th among EVM chains by weekly active users, with a fourfold increase in total value locked, reaching approximately $12 million.
- Ecosystem products like Dagora’s Google-based NFT minting and ONEID self-sovereign identity.
Viction’s participation reinforced its focus on delivering seamless web3 experiences for both users and developers.
